Like many of us, I voted early on an absentee ballot, because I distrusted the "machine" I might have to vote on, and also to make a statement. It seems to me this is without little validity if I don't photocopy my vote.
I have the stub, and on Nov. 7th I'm gonna march this ballot over to the polling place because I didn't want this to get lost in the MAIL either or get disqualified somehow...
(I don't even understand the "under the fold" aspect anymore as we don't show a brief thingie before the fold, but whatever.)
My first question is, I still have my absentee ballot and my stub and am curious if I should photocopy it and sign it and photocopy that as a quasi-affidavit, to prove it's my real vote, before I submit this absentee ballot into the box when I show up to give it to the polling place. and also photocopy the stub...
I'm just wondering for those of us who had the forethought and ability to absentee vote on this, if this will work as proof positive of your REAL vote? THOUGHTS on this would be appreciated.
So I GOTV'd tonight. The most encouraging thing I got was responses from women over the age of 80. LITERALLY. They were the ones most concerned and angry who actually wanted to talk. I find that remarkable. Not 50 year olds that might lose their children in Iraq, or kids that might end up there, but people in their 80's who are as one woman said "Deciding to get politically active again". I'm wondering if this is a trend.
My 65 year old mother wants to know this from you too.
That was trippy...
